The Fran online collection includes the online dictionaries of the Fran Ramovš Institute for the Slovene Languages, as well as subsites that have the character of scientific or professional monographs. Dictionaries may also be published simultaneously or previously in printed form in the Slovarji series or (in electronic version) in the Terminologišče. In the case of dictionaries published in Fran in a revised or updated version, the current version is indicated in the title. In addition to dictionary collections, Fran also contains linguistic advice, a dialectological atlas, e-books in PDF format, and some other content. An important feature of Fran is that it allows easy and advanced searching in any single dictionary, in a selected group of dictionaries, or in all dictionaries simultaneously, even when searching for only one dictionary.
