Tanja Fajfar is a researcher at the Department of Terminology of the Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language. Her research focuses on terminology, with interests in term formation processes, terminological principles, terminological agreement, terminological intervention, and synonymy. She leads the compilation of the Terminological Dictionary of Visual Impairment Special Education and Rehabilitation, the Terminological Dictionary of Computer Science, and the Terminological Dictionary of Physics, and also collaborates on a terminological dictionary that includes European Union terminology. Together with her colleagues, she is involved in terminology consulting. She is co-editor of the Terminologišče, a member of the editorial board of the Terminology Consulting Service, and a member of the editorial board of the journal Slovenski jezik / Slovene Linguistic Studies.
