Research interests

The main area of Dr. Tanja Fajfar’s research is legal terminology, focusing on the examination of the expansion of legal concepts in Slovene law since Slovenia’s membership of the EU.

Born: 31 January 1978 in Kranj.

2002: graduated (BA Hons.) from the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, in the areas of Sociology of culture and Comparative literature.

2011: completed PhD in the Department of Slovene Language and Literature, Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, with the thesis Jezikovni vidiki slovenske pravne terminologije ob primerih sodb Sodišča Evropskih skupnosti.

Since 2005: employed in the Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language, ZRC SAZU.
