Research interests

Nataša Jakop (1974) is a researcher at the Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language. In her research work, she studies contemporary Slovene lexicon from the point of view of norm, semantics and pragmatics. She is specialized in the field of phraseology and participates in the preparation of the third edition of the Dictionary of the Slovenian Standard Language (eSSKJ). She is a member of the Commission on Orthography at SAZU and ZRC SAZU, where she participates in the preparation of new rules of orthography. She coordinates the linguistic module Lexicology, Lexicography, Grammar at the Postgraduate School ZRC SAZU. She lectures at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana (Language Norm and Language Culture). She is responsible for educational activities related to using the portals Fran and Franček and strives to popularize linguistic science. In her free time, she trains karate.
