Simona Klemenčič (27 June 1971) is a research fellow at the Fran Ramovš Institute for the Slovenian Language and a researcher at the Department of Lexicology. She is part of the team that compiles the growing dictionary of the Slovene standard language (eSSKJ). Her primary area of research is the etymology of the Slovene language. She is an editor for the Institute's social media presence. She teaches at the Department of Comparative and General Linguistics, Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, is the leader of the winning Slovenian team at the International Linguistics Olympiad (IOL) and is board member of the international committees of two language Olympiads.
