Mladen Uhlik (8 May 1977) is a researcher at the Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language and assistant professor at the Department of Slavistics, Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. His research deals with contrastive Slavic linguistics, specifically, comparison of Slovene with other South Slavic languages and Russian. At the Fran Ramovš Institute, he collaborates with the Department of Lexicology and the Department of Language Standardisation, where he deals with the issues of East Slavic loanword adaptation in Slovenian.
He is a member of the editorial boards of four international scientific journals: Philological studies (2014–), Književni jezik (2017–), Rhema. Rema (2017–), and Vestnik Moskovskogo universiteta: nauchnyi zhurnal Series 9, Philology (2018–). He is also a member of the editorial board of Encyclopedia of Slavic Languages and Linguistics published by Brill (2021–). At the Department of Slavistics, Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, he teaches courses related to Russian grammar: Russian Phonetics and Phonology, Russian Noun Morphology, Russian Verb Morphology, Russian Syntax, and Selected Chapters in Russian Linguistics.
