Jernej Vičič is a researcher in the Dialectological Section, he mainly works on the Slovenian Linguistic Atlas SLA. He specializes in training computers to translate natural languages and focuses on translations of related languages. He also deals with distributed systems, especially Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT). The topic of his doctoral dissertation, which he defended in 2012, is rapid development of rule-based translation systems for related languages.
