Researcher in the Lexicological Section
The main area of Branka Lazar’s research is Slovene lexicology and lexicography. She is participating in the preparation of the Dictionary of Slovene Synonyms. She has contributed research for the fourth and fifth volumes of the Dictionary of the Slovenian language and Slovenian Orthography. She has collected and presented the folk narrative tradition of Dobrepolje.

2006: completed Masters Studies in the area of Slovene ethnology in the Department of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology, Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana.
Since 1978: employed (tenure) in the Lexicological Section, at the Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language, ZRC SAZU.
