International Symposium on Word Prevalence
September 7, 2026 at 10:45 to September 7, 2026 at 17:00
Gosposka dvorana, Gosposka ulica 16, Ljubljana
Organizer: ZRC SAZU
The International Conference on Word Prevalence brings together researchers who, through large-scale studies, have contributed to the psycholinguistic research of word prevalence on large datasets. Word prevalence expresses the proportion of speakers who know a particular word and enables a better understanding of vocabulary and differences in word knowledge among speakers.
The conference intends to foster the exchange of insights and to raise new research questions regarding the methodology of such studies, their implementation in various linguistic contexts, and the interpretation of results. Particular attention will also be dedicated to the use of the collected data in the development of new theories, research approaches, and practical applications.
