Research interests

Maruša Žibred (March 10 1998) is a young researcher at the Section for the History of the Slovenian Language at Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language.

Her research focuses on the diachronic study of adjectives (and adjectival participles), especially the category of definiteness in the 16th century Slovenian literary language and comparatively in the literary language of the younger periods of linguistic history until the end of the 19th century. She is a contributor to the Dictionary of the 16th Century Slovenian Literary Language. Her research interests also include the dialectology of the Slovenian  language, especially the local dialect of Novo mesto.
