Andreja Žele is a professor of the contemporary Slovenian language at the Department of Slovenian Studies, Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. Since 1 September 2011 she took up secondary employment at ZRC SAZU, Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language, where she works as a lexicographer compiling the new dictionary of the Slovenian language.
