Research interests

Alenka Jelovšek’s research focuses on the history of Slovene language, especially historical morphology and the development of norms of address in Slovene.

In 2011 she was appointed as technical editor of Jezikoslovni zapiski.

Born: 10 April 1984 in Ljubljana.

2009: graduated (BA Hons.) from the Department of Slovene Language and Literature, Faculty of Arts, and from the Department of Communication (Journalism), Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana.

2010: graduated (BA Hons.) in general linguistics from in the Department of Comparative and General linguistics, University of Ljubljana Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana.

2009: started PhD Studies in the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Programme in the Humanities and Social Sciences – Slovene Studies, Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana.

Since 2009: employed in the Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language, ZRC SAZU.
